Re/Max Hustle
Putting branded video creation in the palms of Realtors.
The Re/Max Hustle web-based video editor is a revolutionary tool that provides users with a streamlined and user-friendly experience.
With both mobile and desktop versions, users can add and trim video, insert stickers, music, and animated text to create engaging and branded video content for their property listings. Additionally, the editor features pre-made video cards that highlight house features, a wide range of templates, and an easy-to-use export function that allows users to share their finished videos on social media channels directly from the web. The tool makes video content creation fun, easy, and accessible to everyone.
Problem
Re/Max needed a tool that would allow realtors to create engaging and branded video content for their property listings. The existing tools were difficult to use and lacked the necessary features for creating high-quality videos. Re/Max needed a tool that would make video content creation fun, easy, and accessible to everyone.
Solution
To tackle this problem, we designed a web-based video editor that provides users with a streamlined and user-friendly experience. With both mobile and desktop versions, users can add and trim video, insert stickers, music, and animated text. The editor features pre-made video cards that highlight house features, a wide range of templates, and an easy-to-use export function that allows users to share their finished videos on social media channels directly from the web.

The Work
User Flows
The user flows were created based on major tasks, and were used to identify features and requirements. These flows were then vetted with select realtors to ensure their accuracy and usefulness. This also involved research on multiple mobile-based video platforms such as instagram stories, TikTok, and InShot.

Wireframes
Wireframes were created with a focus on detailed design for both mobile and desktop interfaces. Starting with low fidelity, more functionality was added to each iteration until fleshed out microinteractions were achieved. A near fully functional prototype was created in Figma. This process was useful to ensure that the design reflected the user flows and requirements vetted with realtors in the previous stage.

Onboarding
To help users get started, a step-by-step tutorial wizard was created for onboarding that highlighted UI in place. Basic functionality was presented first, with detailed features being introduced once the user engaged with them for the first time.

Familiar toolsets
For the ReMax project, familiar toolsets were used to create a workflow that the majority of users were already familiar with. This made trimming clips, moving clips, adding stickers, text, and filters intuitive and easy.
Branded Creativity
For the ReMax project, users were able to create custom videos without sacrificing ReMax's brand integrity. They could create videos on the go and utilize stock footage to fill in any gaps in their own video footage. This ensured that the videos were both branded and creative.
